Join us for a low-key community competition!

Sign up and dance any of the styles in the swing family-lindy hop, balboa, collegiate shag, solo jazz, etc.  If you are entering with a partner, you must register together as this is NOT a mix-and-match competition. Please complete this form if you plan to compete on 12/26. 

All contestants who registered online will check-in at the front desk.  Pairs and individuals who wish to register the night of the competition have until 8:45 PM.   Anyone who comes after the cutoff time will be turned away.  All contestants will be assigned a bib number during the designated check-in time.

Registration Check-In
Contestants will check-in at the front desk by 8:45 PM and be assigned a bib number.  If you arrive after the designated time, you will be turned away.
Contest Meetup
Contestants will meet near the front of the stage at the beginning of the band break 9:00 PM. Check-in will be confirmed with a PLS board member.
All-Skate Prelims
During the preliminary round, competitors will be given two songs and dance each song with the same partner or dance solo if registered as such.  Judges will tap in who moves on to the final round.
Spotlight Finals
Each couple or solo dancer will get a spotlight over two rounds.

For this competition, be prepared to dance between 165-175 bpm.

Judging will be based on attention to your partner, attention to the music, technique, and entertainment.  Judges will confer and announce winners by the end of the band break, or shortly thereafter.
